Previewing your pages

In the event's menu, choose Pages. You'll see your event's pages, grouped by language.

  • Public Page next to Event page opens your event page in a new tab, exactly as the public sees it.
  • Public Page next to Participant page opens a student's page: your first active participant, alphabetically, or a sample student if you haven't added any yet.

View Public Page in the menu also opens your live event page at any time.

What fills in the pages

Your pages are built from your event's settings (title, subtitle, description, location, dates, goal, logo and colors) and your organization's branding. To change what a page says, change those settings (see Editing your event settings), or, on Premium, edit the page itself.

Custom pages

Events on Premium can change their pages' wording and layout. Your organization's Admins can: on the Pages screen, choose Edit next to a page.

  • Edit the page like a document. Tags in double braces, like {{EventGoal}} or {{ParticipantFirstName}}, are filled in when the page is shown; the list beside the editor has every tag the page can use and what it shows.
  • Tags in three braces, like {{{EventProgressBar}}} or {{{DonateButton}}}, add a ready-made piece of the page: keep each on a line of its own.
  • {{@if HasParticipants}} ... {{/if}} shows the part between them only when the event has participants. Keep both if you move that part.
  • Choose Save, then Public Page to see it as families will. A page with a misspelled tag, or an {{@if}} without its {{/if}}, isn't saved: the message says what to fix.

One participant page serves every student, so write it for any of them: the tags fill in each student's name, goal and progress.

If something goes wrong, Reset to default (on the page's editor) or Reset (on the Pages screen) puts the page back to the default design. A page you haven't edited always shows the current default, so it picks up any improvements we make.
