Cart Station hosts stores that sell digital products: downloads, e-books, software, music, artwork and the like. This policy
sets out what can be sold and how the service can be used. It applies to every store and to everyone who helps run one.
The short version: sell things you have the right to sell, that are legal, and that do what you say they do.
Use Cart Station to sell your products, not as general file hosting. If a store breaks these rules we may remove products or
close the store.
1. Products you can't sell
Anything you don't have the rights to: pirated or cracked software, copied e-books, courses, music, fonts, templates or artwork, and resale of other people's work without a license that allows it.
Harmful software: malware, spyware, ransomware, password stealers, tools for breaking into systems or accounts you don't own, and anything that hides what it does.
Personal or stolen data: lists of people's details, account credentials, stolen card numbers, or anything taken without permission.
Illegal content, and anything that promotes violence, terrorism or hatred against people for who they are.
Any material that sexualizes minors. We report it to the authorities.
Sexually explicit material.
Deceptive products: get-rich-quick schemes, fake reviews or followers, counterfeit documents or certificates, and products that misrepresent what the buyer gets.
Gambling, including paid tips, systems and access to games of chance.
Physical goods and services. Cart Station delivers files; a product must be something the buyer downloads.
2. Stripe's rules apply too
Payments go into each seller's own Stripe account, so every store must also follow Stripe's
restricted businesses list and
services agreement. Stripe can limit or close an
account on its own; when it does, the store can't take payments.
3. Using the service
Upload only the files buyers get with a product. Cart Station isn't general file hosting, backup or a content delivery network for your website.
Don't try to get around your plan's limits, other stores' privacy, or the download limits that protect sellers' files.
Don't attack, overload or probe the service, and don't use it to test stolen cards.
Don't send spam, or use buyers' email addresses for anything they didn't agree to.
Keep your account secure, and don't share a sign-in: invite your team as users instead.
4. Treating buyers fairly
Describe products honestly, including what's in the download and what it needs to run.
Make your contact details available, answer buyers' questions, and handle refunds as your store's policy and the law require. Each sale is between you and the buyer.
Charge only through Cart Station's checkout for the products you sell here.
5. What happens when the rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may ask you to make a change, make a product unavailable, close the store's checkout, or
deactivate the store and its account. Where we can, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first; for illegal
content, harm to buyers or a risk to the service we may act straight away. Buyers who have already bought a product may keep
their downloads unless the product itself is unlawful or harmful.
A store closed for breaking this policy isn't refunded for its plan.
6. Reporting a problem
If you think a store is breaking this policy, tell us with a link to the store
or product. If a store is selling your copyrighted work, follow our copyright (DMCA) policy
so we can act on it.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and for
significant changes we'll tell sellers by email or in the portal.
